H&M Projection on the Dam Square Amsterdam
This is a really cool video I found of the opening of a H&M store in Amsterdam. Once the ribbon is undone it reveals a sort of dolls house underneath to great effect. Iv seen alot of building projections for many different things but I have never seen one as well thought through as this. All the effects and sounds work really well together, with perfect timing to create a truely remarkable launch.

Merry Christmas from Grolsch
Whilst surfing the internet I came across the new christmas advert from Grolsch. I think this is a really innovative idea and it really stands out amongst the dozens of christmas adverts that come out every year. The 'Swingtop Philharmonic Orchestra' Play the classic O Christmas Tree song using the swingtop Grolsch bottles, which are known for the popping sound they make when opened. The best part though is the christmas tree which is made from the empty Grolsch bottles, Id love one of those in my living room this year!

Skoda goes bad-ass
I love the advert for the Skodo Fabia vRS. I think its such a unique way to look at the different parts of the car individually and its a really surreal take on how it is built and assembled. I love the fact that they seem to be mocking the older model and that the tougher crew have taken over the factory to show that they can do a better job.
Take a look for yourselves at the new gang in town: http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialFabiavRS?v=NmZNvGHtMbo&feature=pyv&ad=10636006639&kw=skoda%20advert

Interactive Street Art
Here are some really cool pieces of street art I found by French artist OaKoAk. He makes some really interesting designs from the streets and surrounding objects.
I think these really brighten up the streets and its a nice to know that someone out there is really making an effort to put a smile on peoples faces.

Death of a Legend
I was so sad to hear that Leslie Nielson has passed away at the age of 84. I think that he was such a great man and I love some of his later work such as Airplane and the Naked Gun series. I think he was a true comedy legend and he will be missed dearly by all his fans.

Reviving Old Brand Icons
I'v noticed lately that some brands have gone back to some of their most memorable campaigns rather than coming up with new ideas. There is some dispute about this, some saying that these companies have just become lazy and cannot come up with any new campaign ideas. Maybe the most famous example is the Tetley Tea characters including Gaffer and Sydney who also have their own Facebook pages.
A couple of others who are following this idea:
Sugar Puffs Honey Monster-

and the Nescafe Gold Blend couple-
Personally I love all of these campaigns and I see no harm in bringing them back, especially if they have a positive impact on consumers.

Coca-cola head to the future
Coca-cola have released a video for the new design of their fizzy drink bottle, Mystic. As a design it is really great and would definately stand out amongst the crowd, with its futuristic spaceship like aesthetic. But why do this? Why try and fix something that isn't broken? To me the design is very typical of that futuristic style that we all imagine, but why be swallowed up into that. Why not do something a little more unpredictable? This design seems to have caused quite a stir, looking at the comments I found that most people are wondering why Coca-cola have decided to change the bottle design, and why aerodynamic and spaceshiplike. Its also raised alot of environmental attention as people are worried about recycling issues. What do you think?

IKEA ad
I love the new kitchen ad from IKEA. They've used a popular 80's track by Jona Lewie called, You'll always find me in the kitchen. I think this works really well as the whole retro 80's theme is currently quite popular and it really fits in, not only with the fashion and the designs of the kitchens, but the song itself due to the electronic beats. I couldn't take my eyes off the t.v when I first saw it, so I went to track it down on the internet.
Here's the full version of the ad and the original song aswell:

Windows phone 7
Microsoft have unveiled their new Windows phone and it is amazing. It might set you back a few hundred pounds but if you do have the cash lying around, what better to spend it on. You've got the whole world at your fingertips with Internet Explorer, you can update your status's on Windows live and facebook at the touch of a button. You can wirelessly stream songs and videos from a pc and store them in the music and video hub. Theres tones of amazing stuff you can do, and it really makes me think about how far technology has progressed the last 20-30 years. Take a look for yourself.

Interaction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh-s3auYdKo
I notice lately that alot of adverts are becoming more interactive.Take the latest cadbury ad, spots v stripes, where you can join in with the games not only on the website but also follow them on their tour of the country playing games. Another recent example is the BT ad where viewers got to vote the storyline for the next advert. I think this interaction works really well as it keeps people engaged and wanting more.
